About this artwork

This painting depicts a quiet moment of rest in a Mediterranean kitchen. A woman leans back in her chair after the day’s work, surrounded by simple objects of everyday life: brass pots, ceramic vessels and the cool blue light of the interior walls.

The composition explores the contrast between warm earthy tones and luminous blues, creating a calm and intimate atmosphere. The relaxed posture of the figure suggests a pause in time, a moment of reflection  and physical ease.

The work combines expressive brushwork with a structured composition, bringing together elements of contemporary figurative painting and Mediterranean light.

Painted in oil on canvas, this piece celebrates the beauty of ordinary moments and the quiet poetry of domestic space.
