About this artwork

An expressive figurative oil painting depicting a group of jazz musicians performing together in a lively musical session. The composition captures the rhythm and energy of a hard bop ensemble, with saxophone, trumpet, and double bass players immersed in the intensity of the music.

The painting combines fragmented forms and dynamic brushwork to evoke the improvisational spirit of jazz. Warm golden tones of the instruments contrast with cool blues  and greys, creating a vibrant atmosphere that suggests sound, movement, and musical dialogue between the performers.

Inspired by the spirit of mid-century jazz clubs, this work celebrates the creativity, spontaneity, and collective energy of live music.

Original oil painting on canvas.

Signed on the front.

Painted in 2026.
